It’s been a while since L and I went to Tassie but before all the Christmas hustle and bustle I somehow didn’t get around to telling you about our trip to Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm.
Christmas Hills is pretty well known in Tassie, the actual farm near Launceston is usually busy and when these guys have a stall at a festival there are always long queues.
This time around was quite the opposite. Blue skies, sunshine and warm enough weather that we could sit outside.
While you’re waiting for your food to come, you can meander through the gardens and down to the pond that is full of waterlilies.
The crepe that came out was very thin and filled with lots of raspberries. It was topped with warm raspberry sauce and came with raspberry icecream and thick cream. Delicious! L and I fought over the last bite and demolished it pretty quickly.
The little lemon tarts were sitting on raspberry sauce and were topped with a fresh raspberry each. Very tangy and delicious!
The raspberry water was super refreshing and made with real raspberry, not just syrup. The raspberry in the coffee wasn’t too overpowering, so definitely a fun thing to try!
I would certainly come back here, it’s a very relaxed environment and beautiful food. I’m a big fan of raspberries so seeing them as a hero of an entire menu is awesome!
